#197 Civil War, River, The GuestWe begin this week by reviewing a film that is set on an American civil war with no context and focusing instead on the value of journalism and the nature of history and POV. We then arrive to a secluded town in Japan where the people are suffering from an endless time loop of the same 2-minutes with laughter and humility. Finally, we allow a guest into our home, who says his name is David but is hella menacing as he smiles and proceeds to kill your boss for that promotion you so richly deserve.

#196 Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, The Promised Land, Past LivesWe may say goodbye to winter but Frozen Empire says otherwise. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire brings back the fun and funny from the original films but still falters from modern plot contrivances and boring villains. The Promised Land brings genuine intrigue into a man as he struggles to what he believes a man is supposed to be. This intimate story has heartache, suspense and stellar performances. Past Lives proves that love recognizes bounds and what those bounds are and how intricate they are is something that manifests amazingly in the protagonist and with the tragedy we call time.
