THE BEST TV SHOWS OF 2022
Regular co-host Luke could not make it for this illustrious top 10, of he didn’t watch enough to make one. That means that with our annual co-host Matt, we can still retain the three-party show with less fat and more space to adequately share the best television had to offer. Animes and plenty of prestige and entertaining shows made the lists: how many did you see? Ho many high-risk shows made the list or were they disappointments?

THE BEST TV SHOWS OF 2021
While films suffered significantly still from the pandemic, television seems to have kept the same big quantity and quality pace. So much television programming that there’s four co-hosts with particular countdowns. We have our part-timer Luke this week and annual guest host Matt that each watch television that Ralf and Oscar rarely do. Don’t forget to check the show notes for appropriate time stamps and to check our website for each Top Ten list.

THE BEST TV SHOWS OF 2020
Apply the same layout as our top ten films of the year to television. As is tradition over the last couple of years, we bring in Matt to diversify the choices of great TV shows. While plenty of movies were sidelined by the pandemic, television seemed generally unfazed; giving us plenty of sequel seasons to big hits as well as first time seasons and some great documentaries. What did you binge in 2020?

THE BEST TV SHOWS OF 2019
If you think movies in 2019 were great, then TV was amazing. We bring on special annual guest Matt to discuss our best TV shows with some surprising overlap. Netflix and HBO are the reigning kings when it comes to content but we don’t miss out on the creativity coming from Japanese animation. 2019 also marked the ending of several TV goliath and critical darlings.

The Best TV Shows of 2018
The very same rules apply to television as we sued for movies. There’s Honorable Mentions, Disappointment and Missed Opportunities. We have a special guest who has a more diverse show-watching habit than Oscar, which has a diverse list from Ralf. There will be a couple similarities but expect network shows and anime in addition to the critics faves. Also, on a positive note, the reigning channels or streaming services don’t belong to any clear winner: it’s quite spread out this year.
